Goals

Show Multus as a commercial-stage business. Design, develop, and launch a new, fully redesigned website leveraging Stanford Guidelines for Web Credibility. Evolve and consolidate Multus' visual identity to make it more modern and mature, while retaining the original logo. Ensure that the site is scalable and can expand as Multus continues to grow.

Multus

Multus is a biotechnology company designing and developing animal-free growth media for cultivated meat production at a lower cost than the market incumbents. At the time of this project, Multus was transitioning from an R&D-first to commercial-first company, with product launches planned in the upcoming months.

Approach

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Business-centric design

Our team combined their business and design backgrounds to deliver a website that doesn't just 'look good', but also matches the buyer's journey and delivers business objectives.

Stanford Guidelines for Web Credibility

We used the Stanford Guidelines for Web Credibility, which were developed by the Stanford University Persuasive Technology Lab. They helped ensure the site effectively communicates the company and solution.

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

We made sure that the website followed SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) best practices to ensure it can be crawled and indexed by search engines (e.g. Google or Bing). We aimed to design it in a way that takes into account the relevant ranking criteria of search engines to support search engine positioning.

Copywriting

Using the key messages from our communications strategy, our team crafted post captions. We ensured the tone remained balanced, informative, accessible and free from unnecessary overhype.

Feedback-driven process

During each stage of the process, the client was be able to share feedback. This way, we ensured that the work progressed in a way that was best for the client.

Mobile responsiveness

The website was created to be responsive. Its contents scale to fit the screen size. This ensures they look good and work well on all devices, including smartphones and tablets.

Onboarding & Site Handover

Following the website launch, we onboarded the team members and equipped them with the ability to modify the site. This included adding articles and publications, editing text, or making other minor modifications.

Scalability

We created the website using 'building blocks' that make it easy to modify, restructure, and expand. This way, the website can scale alongside the company's growth.

What we achieved together

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The website launched in time to support a world-first product launch. Positive feedback from both internal and external stakeholders. The team finds the new site significantly easier to update and maintain - including adding new products to the catalogue.

Head of Commercial

We trusted Adopter with building our new website ahead of an important year of commercial and fundraising activities. We needed a light project and wanted a result that simplified content creation while improving the professionalism of our public profile. Adopter's approach was rigorous, efficient and well organised, from customer interviews to final handover. As a result, we had immediate positive feedback internally and externally, and we've been able to start making updates to our product catalogue that we previously couldn't do. Adopter brought multiple skills in a lean team so that we could communicate easily and move quickly. We now have a website to help us reach more customers and accelerate our growth.'
