Since 2010 the global number of green technology companies tackling the climate crisis has quadrupled1.
Looking at carbon alone, by 2050, the emissions reduction potential of climate tech companies could reach 599,000 million metric tonnes of CO2 per year. That’s equivalent to the carbon sequestered by more than 708 billion acres of forest2.
From construction to finance, environmental technologies are working to develop and scale the solutions that we need to achieve a net zero and nature-positive future.
The UK is well positioned to catalyse this growth. And alongside the UK’s host of rapidly emerging solutions, there is a growing support ecosystem.
The UK Green Tech Accelerators & Incubators Map is an accessible resource for the innovators and founders leading the fight against climate change.
The map highlights the support available to scale these solutions and increase their impact in one place for the first time.
The accelerator landscape in the UK is quickly expanding and developing with the green technology companies they support. We want this map to be an ongoing resource for the ecosystem and for this version 2.0 map to catalyse further feedback, ideas and additions.
The inputs from the community will guide us as we prepare an interactive version of the map.
